Community Connections

The Community Connections Program helps adult newcomers and their children adjust to their new lives in Canada and integrate successfully into Canadian society.

This program recruits screens and trains volunteers to serve as mentors to newcomers, assisting them with language or employment. The Community Connections program also arranges many group activities for clients and volunteers.

A Community Connections volunteer must be at least 18 years of age and possess the skills needed to assist newcomers with language or employment. They must also have a clean criminal background and have a genuine interest in helping a newcomer adjust to life in Canada.

Newcomers must be naturalized citizens, permanent residents of Canada or have applied to Citizenship and Immigration for permanent residence.

It costs nothing to join the Community Connections program.

Be a part of Community Connections and help make a world of difference.
