We support the full, equal, and valued participation of newcomers in all aspects of community life

We're a settlement agency

The North Bay & District Multicultural Centre is a non-profit organization serving the settlement needs of newcomers to Canada in the districts of Parry Sound, Nipissing, Temiskaming, and Cochrane. The northern region is covered by our satellite office, the Timmins & District Multicultural Centre.

The North Bay office opened in February 2008, our Timmins office opened in May 2011.

Our Timmins office has its own website at www.timminsmuliticultural.ca

We house the Local Immigration Partnership

Local Immigration Partnerships (LIPs) are community-wide, multi-sectoral partnerships working to strengthen a community’s capacity to welcome newcomers and improve integration outcomes through enhanced economic, social, political and civic participation. There are 77 LIP initiatives across Canada, they are funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

The North Bay Local Immigration Partnership (formerly known as the North Bay Newcomer Network) has been in operation since 2005. To learn more about the North Bay LIP go here.
